Samsung Forum Rome
Samsung Forum is an annual event where leaders of global offices and partners of Samsung come together to share annual prospects and business plans. It has been held every year since 2008 in many cities and has reached its 10th anniversary in 2018. To celebrate the anniversary, Samsung commissioned Cheil Worldwide to develop a special visual identity for this year’s forum which expresses the theme, Foro Romano and the host city Rome while maintaining the original identity.
The challenge was to introduce new visual elements that highlight both the host city and the theme without making conflict with the existing identity of Samsung Forum. I designed the new visual elements, Face-to-face and Amphitheater, by seamlessly incorporating the original symbol. These new elements not only create a friendly and welcoming look for the event, but also maintain the consistency within its original brand identity system. This work was selected as a winner in the category of communication design at IF Design Awards 2019.
